Rev. Dawn Vukich

VICAR

Rev. Dawn Vukich is the sixth Vicar named to lead Faith Episcopal Church in Laguna Niguel, having been installed officially to the position on August 19, 2018.

Dawn was ordained to the Anglican Church in 2005 and served at St. James, Newport Beach for three years. Since 2015, she served as an interim priest for Faith Episcopal Church. Rev. Dawn earned her Masters of Divinity (M.Div) at Talbot School of Theology in La Mirada, CA.

In addition to providing pastoral care and ministering to Faith’s members and visitors, Rev. Dawn Vukich is engaged in interfaith and homeless services throughout South Orange County as well as Diocesan ministries.

In 2019, Rev. Dawn earned certification as a Stephen Leader, initiating Faith Episcopal Church as a member within Stephen Ministries, a nationwide, one-on-one program which provides high-quality, confidential, Christ-centered care to people who are hurting.

 

Faith Episcopal Church Bishop’s Committee

The Bishop’s Committee is the governing body of a mission congregation.
Members are elected at an Annual Meeting in January and serve a three-year term.

The Bishop’s Warden is appointed by the Bishop at the recommendation of the Vicar while the People’s Warden is elected by the members of the Bishop’s Committee, who oversee the financial and business affairs of the congregation as well as its development and vision.

Kathleen Costello | Scribe

Kathleen Costello is an Orange County native who has lived in Laguna Niguel since 1998. A member of Faith since 2007, she has served on the Bishop's Committee. After 25 years as an administrator for Cal State Fullerton she retired and was named Executive Director Emeritus of the Gianneschi Center for Nonprofit Sector Research, which she founded in 1994.

Ralph Behrsin | Member

Ralph Behrsin oversees the Welcome Committee, otherwise known as the Greeters and Ushers. He started attending services at Faith as a confirmed Lutheran almost 4 years ago and was confirmed into the Episcopal Church in early 2018.

He is beginning his second 3-year term on the Bishop’s Committee and is also on the Liturgy and Communications Committees. He will soon be taking training to be a Stephens Ministry care provider.

Ralph is in the hospitality industry. He lives in Laguna Niguel with his husband and two Boston Terriers.

Barbara Kimler | Member

Barbara joined Faith over 10 years and considers its members her second family. Along with serving on the Bishop’s Committee, she’s an active member of both choral and bell choirs and coordinates the weekly Hands of Grace outreach dinner. Professionally, Barbara runs a PR business serving nonprofits. She’s married with two adult children and resides in San Juan Capistrano.

Barbara joined Faith over 10 years and considers its members her second family. Along with serving on the Bishop’s Committee, she’s an active member of both choral and bell choirs and coordinates the weekly Hands of Grace outreach dinner. Professionally, Barbara runs a PR business serving nonprofits. She’s married with two adult children and resides in San Juan Capistrano.
