Transition:
The Continuing Journey of Faith
Bishop Bruno
has directed us to prepare a Parish Profile to raise our awareness of who
Faith Episcopal is now. The process of creating the Parish Profile will allow
all members of our congregation to participate in articulating our identity as a
faith community. The finished product will inform Bishop Bruno as he seeks a
Vicar for us. Your Bishop’s Committee will serve as the transition team for
this process.
Our transition process began on August 22nd with History Day. This
was an opportunity for all of us to
gather after worship to remember and document significant events and people in
Faith’s journey. History Day set the stage for the
remaining work of the transition process.
We have now finished
our congregational discussions; thanks to all of you who participated!
Hopefully, by now you have all filled out the second survey. If not, please do
it NOW! You can find it at
http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/GF6XTNB, or you can pick up a copy in the
fellowship hall after church and mail it back to us.
The information
gleaned from these discussions and the survey questions will be compiled into
the Parish Profile, along with information on our demographics, programs,
surrounding community, and finances. The Bishop’s Committee will start writing
the Profile this week. We plan to have it finished and transmitted to the
Diocese by late October.
Contact any member of the Bishop’s
Committee with questions or suggestions. You will find contact information on
the back of your bulletin. Thanks for all your support!
